On the whole, Sashi is a romantic drama that has a decent story. Many scenes in the second half look forced. Coming to the director Srinivas, his story idea is good but his narration is jaded and not that impressive. The production values of this film are also good along with the slick camerawork. The BGM is decent and so were the dialogues. The music of the film is a big hit and the songs shot were also good. The character arcs of the lead pair are not that strong and could have been written in a more effective manner. Upon this, the slow pace bores the audience. This makes things quite dull for the audience as the emotions do not create any effect. The conflict point is also not that great and is not highlighted well at all. The film had good scope for drama but the director put more emphasis on entertainment. There are way too many scenes that are cinematic and look forced. The story idea of the film is good but the narration is dragged in the second half. The emotions in key scenes work to an extent. Rajeev Kanakala and his character are also good to see on screen. Comedians Harsha and Vennela Kishore do well in their roles. She was quite good in all the tense scenes of the film. Yet another heroine, Raasi Singh also did well in her role. Heroine Surabhi was exceptional and proved that she is not just a pretty face but can also act well. His role had a good scope for him to perform and Aadi did well in his character which had a lot of variations. With this film, he has improved a lot in his performances.

You look for the exit door a half-hour before the climax. We get to know more about these two Sashis and a so-called twist comes post-interval but they are told in a boring manner. Sashi in this film stands for the name of the heroine as well as the heroРІР‚в„ўs close buddy. By the time, the director begins to reveal the main story, we lose interest in the film already. Such formulaic and predictable screenplay this has.Р”В®xpectedly, in the entire first half of the film, we get to see, Aadi beating eve teasers, problems in his house, his drinking habits, and the introduction of the heroine. Within five minutes, we can easily guess that he has a РІР‚Вflash backРІР‚в„ў story for this current behavior and it would be revealed only after the interval. The film begins on a pretty formulaic note, by introducing the hero in a shower and shows him drinking alcohol even in the bathroom. Sadly, the filmРІР‚в„ўs only positive element is the music.
